Poynting’s Pointers, formally know as the Physics Mentor Scheme, has been running now for two years. It is there as a lifeline for all Physics students at the University of Birmingham.
The concept is simple: for each module, a student can get in contact with one of (usually) three designated students who have volunteered to help others with that subject. All volunteers are physics students who have already completed that module, and are there to help!
There are a few rules to this scheme:

You can join the scheme, to help other students with modules you have previously studied. It’s great experience in teaching and a big CV booster!
